Cat Sanctuary

FIV and FeLV is very important to use here at the Huntsville Humane Society.
We are prioritizing FIV and FeLV to help educate not only North Alabama but the entire state.
We were fortunate enough to get the approval to start actually the first FIV and FeLV sanctuary in the state of Alabama.
So we have a building in the back of our property that will house all the FIV and FeLV cats.
They will be up for adoption, but if they do not get adopted, they will have a place to live the rest of the life out in peaceful and in harmony.
We have a dedicated group of volunteers willing to start this project with us and to get it fully staffed by volunteers.
It is very important that we continue the education and let folks know these are not terminally ill illnesses and cats can live very happy and happily lives.
